- Guards were the halflings found on the moor
- Acolytes captured alive, heading SW
- Guards killed/left for dead
- Return last guard to Parlfray
- Guard blames Parlfray for kidnappings
- Kidnapping of spell casters? (Acolytes, Jelennith)
- Parlfray offers party 2,000 GP and land for investigation of bandits and return of acolytes
- Parlfray pays 150 GP per PC
Day 18:
- Parlfray invites party to stay the night and attend dinner
- Tinfoot (Halfling bard associated with Rogtar) also invited to perform
- Lafayer in Milborne
- Lintern approaches Rogtar about his secret mission
- Tomoe notices Lintern’s stage whisper from across the room
- Rogtar send Lintern into a corner and casts message, which confuses Lintern
- Parlfray Ancestral Keep
- In Thornwood, north of Blessed Woods (near bend in river)
- Cult purged from area, but land cursed
- Adventurers sent to investigate and purge the land
- Dalrave “swallowed up”
- Murder Glade
- NW corner of Thornwood
- Traders murdered
- Dinner:
- Tinfoot vs. Rogtar => Best out of 3, Tinfoot wins all three rounds
- Buttons seeking Rogtar in Milborne

Day 19:
- Head to Thurmaster, leave Ring of Water Elemental Command with Tauster to be fixed
- Info dump Kuiper
- Oleanne has warned people from NW corner of Thornwoods
- Kuiper agrees to help track the acolytes
- Milborne
- Rogtar looks for Buttons in Silver Crown
- Buttons claims to be have sent by mayor of Shadydale
- He’s lying, Rogtar calls him out
- Buttons “Just can’t tell” why he’s there
- Buttons tries to flee, Rogtar catches him, ruckus ensues
- Owner of Silver Crown kicks Rogtar and Buttons out
- Rogtar ties Buttons up and interrogates him outside of the Silver Crown
- Orc got Buttons hooked on that “sweet, sweet spring cheese”
- No one knows what that is
- Rogtar decides Buttons needs the Pumpkin Patch
- Erol checks in with Jelennith’s family, continues to ask around for information
- Rest of Party seeks out Lafayer at Temple of Torm
- Lafayer: mousy looking man in his 60s
- Plans to be in Milborne for few more days
- Can be used for potions and divine healing
- Leave word in a town, takes 2-3 weeks
- Can’t ID mysterious flask
- Party reunites, everyone confused about the halfling Rogtar has been carrying around
- Rogtar wants to leave the party to put Buttons in the Pumpkin Patch
- Party convinces Rogtar to leave Buttons with Semheis & Lafayer
- Old Grizzler, drunk dwarven map maker
- Harlow Woods: Wargs “as big as a horse” (proceeded to get larger with each retelling), very dense, Jethrow??
- Redwood: Safe, cultivated, fruit bearing trees, couple spot
- Old Parlfray Keep: Murder but no looting as far as he’s aware of
- Tomoe wanders about town asking about Carlanis and his mysterious flask
- Timpsen (Silver Crown) recalls Carlanis coming in with flask
- No one seems to know where or specifically when Carlanis received flask
Day 20:
- Stops in to see Buttons & Lafayer
- More work needed with Buttons, Lafayer and Semheis will take care of him
- Tracking the acolytes
- Kuiper and a few farm hands join party
- Backtrack to Howler’s Moor
- Track footprints to Harlow Woods
- Kuiper cautious to enter, but willing to, uncertain of his ability to track in the woods
- Party rests outside of the woods for the night
Day 21:
- Party and Kuiper enter Harlow Woods
- Farm hands take horses back to Kuiper’s farm
- Harlow Woods has large hidden crags
- Party ties off in pairs
- Cowl in trees
- Kuiper & Rogtar
- Erol & Ortree
- Jobin & Tomoe (will not end well)
- Kuiper rolls extremely well and is able to track the halflings
- Party attacked by a dire boar
- Cowl harvests boar for food (apparently love plants, hate animals)
- Sensing an upcoming theme with his character
- Jobin falls into a pit that Tomoe spots
- Tomoe strength check, not so much
- Tomoe cuts rope, Jobin takes falling damage
- Jobin climbs out just fine
- Tomoe & Cowl hears howling approaching
- Pack of wargs attack, 6 in total
- Out of woods, rest for the night
Day 22:
- Tracks towards mines
- Garlstone Mines:
- Inactive, closed due to business reasons
- Old Grizzler used to work in mines
- Carman’s Mines
- Still functioning
- Party decides to enter Garlstone Mines, leaving Kuiper to guard the entrance
- 8’ wide entrance to mine, walls look like bacon
- Tomoe stealths first
- Light spell on Jobin’s helmet, not helping
- Tomoe spots another small rogue stealthing and visa versa
- Both double back to inform party
- Fight with 1 Human fighter with shining armor and sword, 2 human archers, 2 halfling rogues
- Jobin is enlarged
- Cowl surprised by 1 halfling rogue
- Cowl smells the fishy smell like Carlanis on halfling, proceeds to acid magic missile him to death anyways
- Archers escape, fighter killed, remaining halfling knocked out
- Once halfling is tied up, Jobin shoves him into his backpack
- End of tunnel, entrance downwards, looks to be supported against collapse
- Level 2 of mine:
- Walls lined with blue crystals
- Tomoe stealths to the left
- Spots a shed that looks like primitive barracks
- Small lake at the end of the tunnel
- Something shiny on cliff at edge of lake
- Stealth towards it
- Party want to see what’s in the lake
- Tomoe attempts to cast Dancing Lights, get attacked by giant eel
- Almost died, didn’t, never again
- Cowl gets the shiny bits
- 2 gold rings (75 gp/ea) => Cowl and Tomoe
